Evaporative cooling in action. After 60 minutes of use, the area of the dog’s body covered by the Zephyr Cooling Vest is visibly cooler, as captured by a thermal imaging camera.
What is evaporative cooling? The fabric is designed to absorb water when soaked in it. As the water slowly evaporates from the material, it takes some of the heat with it, providing a cooling effect.
How does it work? Just add water! Wet the fabric, wring out excess water and put it on your pet. Re-wet as needed throughout the day.
How long does it last? The cooling effect can be felt for up to a few hours. Effectiveness depends on temperature, weather conditions and environmental factors. Generally, the evaporative cooling process performs best in hot and dry climates away from direct sunlight. High-humidity environments may hinder evaporation and limit the desired effect.
How do I know when to re-wet? When the fabric starts to feel dry, re-wet to reactivate the cooling process.
