This Privacy Policy describes our policies and procedures on the collection, use and disclosure of your information when you visit or make a purchase from rcpets.com (the "Site" "we" "us"), and it tells you (the "visitor" or "customer") about your privacy rights and how the law protects you.
We use your Personal Data to provide and improve the service. By using the Site, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
OUR PRIVACY PRINCIPLES
Because your personal information is valuable and sensitive, we want you to be confident that we are handling it carefully and respectfully. We also want to give you information on the tools and options you have to manage and protect that information. This Privacy Policy is part of our effort to achieve these goals.
We do not sell customer information or provide customer information to persons or organizations outside RC Products Ltd. for marketing purposes.
We do not sell the products on our Site outside of the United States and Canada. This Policy does not apply to any third-party sellers or distributors. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use our services. By accessing our Site or purchasing our products, you agree to this Policy.
PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT
When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products you view, what websites or search terms referred you to our Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. WE COLLECT PERSONAL INFORMATION FROM THIRD-PARTY SOURCES
We may collect personal information about you from third parties, including payment processors, data analytics companies (e.g. Google Analytics, Big Commerce Analytics, Klaviyo), website hosting providers, and firms that help us with marketing, typically through email campaigns (e.g. Klaviyo and Big Commerce)
We also may collect personal information from online social networks if you use them to connect with the Site, make a post, or if you take part in a forum, for example, on Facebook. We may collect personal information when you click "Share This" or "Like" buttons or otherwise use social media buttons or plug-ins.
DATA RETENTION
When you place an order through the Site, we will maintain your Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.
We will retain your personal data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain and use your personal data to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations (for example, if we are required to retain your data to comply with applicable laws), resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies.
We will also retain usage data for internal analysis purposes. Usage data is generally retained for a shorter period of time, except when this data is used to strengthen the security or to improve the functionality of our service, or we are legally obligated to retain this data for longer time periods.
HOW DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?
We know your personal information is important to you, so we want to be transparent about how we use that information. We use the Order Information we collect to fulfill any orders placed through the Site (including processing your payment information, arranging shipping, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations). As mentioned above, visitors can create profiles when they want to make purchases on our Site. Collecting this information allows easier and quicker access to future purchases on our Site. As visitors navigate through our Site, their movements will be tracked and analyzed. Doing so allows us to improve our Site and products and make them more relevant to the guardians and their companions to:

CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
We realize that people of all ages love cats and dogs and may be interested in our products, but our Site is not directed to anyone younger than 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from anyone under the age of 13 without verification of parental consent, we will take steps to remove that information from our servers.
SHARING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
We share your Personal Information with third parties to help us use your Personal Information, as described above.

DO-NOT-TRACK REQUESTS
You can turn on the "Don't Track Signal" if you don't wish to be tracked. When you activate this option in your browser, it sends a message to the websites with a request for non-tracking.

HOW WE SECURE PERSONAL INFORMATION
We have implemented industry-accepted administrative, physical, and technology-based security measures to protect against loss, misuse, unauthorized access, and alteration of personal information in our systems. We ensure that any employee, contractor, corporation, organization, or vendor who has access to personal information in our systems is subject to appropriate legal and/or professional obligations to safeguard that personal information.
While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, no method of transmission over the Internet or form of electronic storage is 100% secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
VIEWING OR UPDATING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
You may update your name, contact information, and email preferences by accessing your account on the Site.
DEACTIVATING YOUR ACCOUNT
You may deactivate your RC Pets customer account at any time after it has been created. To deactivate an account, please send an email to hello@rcpets.com with "Deactivate Account" in the subject line. Upon receiving such a request, we will deactivate the account and delete personal information when allowed or required by applicable law.
OPTING OUT OF PROMOTIONAL EMAILS
If you do not wish to receive marketing emails from us, you may follow the Unsubscribe process at the bottom of the email that you received or email us directly at hello@rcpets.com. Please keep in mind that you still may receive transactional emails from us (such as emails related to account registration or purchases, correction of visitor data, product recalls, password reset requests, reminder emails you have requested, and other similar communications) that may be necessary for us to make the Site available to you or respond to your inquiries and support requests.
JURISDICTION SPECIFIC RIGHTS
European Economic Area, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom
Individuals from the European Union, the United Kingdom and Switzerland have certain rights associated with their personal information based on applicable law. As noted above, RC Pets operates rcpets.com only for purchases in Canada and the United States and will only process personal information it receives from the European Union. If you are a European resident, note that we are processing your information in order to fulfill contracts we might have with you (for example, if you make an order through the Site) or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests listed above. Additionally, please note that your information will be transferred outside of Europe, including to Canada and the United States.
California Consumer Rights
The California Consumer Privacy Act provides specific rights to those who live in the state of California. If you are a California-based consumer, as that term is defined under California law, this section applies in addition to all other applicable rights and information contained in this Policy:

PAYMENT PROCESSORS
Please note that where you have used a third-party payment processor (e.g. PayPal, GooglePay, Amazon Pay, etc.) to facilitate a purchase, that third party's use of your personal information is and will be subject to their own terms and Privacy Policy. To exercise your rights associated with your personal information provided by you to one of these providers, please contact that third party directly.
ADVERTISING
We partner with third parties to use Tracking Technology in connection with the display of advertising on our Site and to manage the serving of our advertising to you on other websites when you exit the Site. Our third-party partners may use Tracking Technology to gather information about your activities on the Site and other websites in order to provide you with certain RC Pets advertising based on your browsing activities and interests. To the greatest extent permissible under applicable law, we are not responsible for the tracking practices of third parties in connection with the Site.
